Poor Tim - his name's not even tricky! Why journalists can't take the time to make sure they have spelled his name correctly is beyond me.

Most of these guys do their research via the internet. That journalist probably found a site where someone stated that the Eagles bassist's full name was "Timothy Bruce Schmidt" and, as he was undoubtedly only skimming over it very quickly, only saw the latter two names and didn't double-check spelling.

I'd forgotten Tim's middle name is Bruce. I still maintain he looks nothing like one! Thank goodness it's tucked away behind Timothy...
