I would agree with that. It is a beautiful song and would do justice to any new album. If it was not put in it would be in danger of being forgotten about (not obviously by dedicated fans) . Its too good for that and in my humble opinion, Glenn sings it so soulfully and beautifully. But then, you all know I'm biased anyway

I totally NMCD and the way Glenn sings it, it's so beautiful.
How can love survive in such a graceless age?

If I were to buy all their studio albums to date (and I'm getting there! ), I wouldn't be able to obtain those two wonderful songs. I have them on the F1 DVD, of course, but then I would have to watch the DVD every time just to enjoy those particular songs. It would be great if the boys included them on their new album.

Yes, GA and SH, I also love NMCD. I'd like to learn to sing and play it, but they need to put it on an album first before I can do that!

I admit that it's a bit frustrating that "The Heart Of The Matter" was not included on their HFO CD. That is one of my favourite performances from the HFO DVD, and I'd like to learn to sing and play the song, but once again, I need it on a CD! I'm aware that it's a Don Henley solo effort, and available on his "End Of The Innocence" album (which I will have to order as it's not freely available - I've ordered three of Glenn's solo albums, by the way , but the ordering process takes so long - I've only received two thus far ), but I prefer the Eagles version (a friend of mine downloaded an MP3 version of Don's solo effort recently), and would love to have it on a CD.

I am totally with the argument that ODAAT & NMCD should be on the album so that we can 'own' them. At the moment I only have ODAAT on the DVD - I have no 'audio only' version. I absolutely adore NMCD. But unfortunately both songs are now three years old, and I really want to hear something new.

You're very kind Maleah, thank you. My friend managed to download an MP3 of the Eagles version of HOTM soon after I posted my message, though.

Well, It's time for give some information about my last "Remake". I told You about the Full Version on 3CD of HFO. And I'm making a partial version. I can send on E-mail on MP3. Or I can send the full album. The Audio is not the audio of HFO CD or HFO DVD but is the audio of the HFO first night and HFO second night, so the audio is better. I don't finish to re-make this show so I can send for now only the first song. At soon, all the songs!

I've just been watching the Christchurch (1995) concert (which I've not watched before), and Don Henley is sitting at his drumkit singing Desperado with a towel on his head
