Maybe it’s just because he’s standing next to the petite Rick Roberts in the Nashville clip, but Randy looks 7 feet tall.

I wish someone could find the interview from the Nashville Now show. Rick said it was butt-clenchingly awkward because the host had no idea who they were.
NMB!! Always good to see you! 😊
Hard to believe the host could have been so ignorant. (Rolling my eyes.)

Someone who watched the program back in the day told me it was typical for the host (Ralph, his last name escapes me) to be ill-prepared for his guest interviews.

Your friend was right, NMB! Even famous country artists that he knew would be asked the same questions about the same songs or events every time they appeared on the show.A side note, I attended a Nashville Now taping in 1992. One guest was country-rock group Great Plains. Jack Sundrud,(with Poco) was a member.

    Host: Ralph Emory.

    Thank you, Frey Follower!

Guitarist and handsome guy Kurt Griffey has posted a video of himself holding up a vinyl edition of the recent Randy reissue entitled "Take It to the Limit." Kurt drops some names and gives a bit o' background. Please to enjoy: http://www.facebook.com/kurt.griffey...location=group

Very cool, NMB. It’s nice to see Randy’s album getting a shout-out. I wonder which songs Kurt Griffey plays on.

    Cool video with Kurt Griffey.

And I also loved the Nashville Now video with Randy and Rick. Randy nailed TITTL!

And as far as Ralph Emery, he was a revered Nashville institution going back to the 60's. He had all the big name country stars on his shows. I guess preparation wasn't part of the criteria for becoming a country music legend as long as you promoted your guests. lol

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the infamous "Nashville Now" interview portion has been discovered! Posted on YouTube only yesterday by the Roberts-Meisner Band guitarist, Cary Park, and found by an Eagle-eyed Randy fan. Enjoy!! It's not the toe-curlingly awkward experience that Rick Roberts described in his book "Lame Brain," but Mr. Emery knows very well who the Eagles were and keeps trying to talk Randy into getting the band back together, with apologies to the Roberts-Meisner Band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVCR...XxzWoZ1--tufkQ

Thanks for sharing that, NMB. That was definitely awkward but worth watching! Interesting to hear Randy was open to making another Eagles album at that point.

Yeah, got to give a little credit to the host - this was six years before Hell Freezes Over.
