    Thanks for the review!

I'm so sorry you had a shortened set, but at least you're getting to see him again.

The reason casino shows are shorter is because they don't want you spending all your time listening to an act. They want you listening to the act, getting in a good mood, and then going out into their casino and gambling. In fact, I believe it's something the casino management is usually very strict about, so even Jackson Browne can't overstay his allotted time.

I have never attended a casino show that lasted even two hours.

Well that makes sense but it's still a bummer!! I will have to remember that. I've only been to one casino concert (George Thorogood) and guess I just figured his show was only that long usually. Thanks for the info.

Yeah - I'm sorry you got a short set too, Cathy. It too bad, but like Soda said, the maximum length of time at any casino show I've ever been too is 90 minutes. And Willie - NO ... the casino show prices are definitely not any cheaper in my experiences.

The one exception for a longer show was Joe's solo show that I went to in Atlantic City. He had an unannounced Bruce Willis as an opening act. They actually brought on Bruce earlier than the announced show time, but when it was all said and done, Joe only played about an hour and 15 minutes like Jackson did. Because of adding Bruce though, the show lasted until around 10:30.

Thanks for the review, Cathy. I'm glad you got to see Jackson, but I can definitely understand your disappointment - you're all geared up for a great evening and then it is all over way too soon. Even great "full length" concerts can whiz by, so I'm sure those 17 songs went by pretty quickly. Don's solo casino shows in Oklahoma were markedly shorter, too - that was the only downside. I'm so glad you're getting to see him again soon, though. Enjoy the memories that you do have, and concentrate on looking forward to Peoria. He's going to start recognising you soon!

Thanks guys. You make me feel better.

Hubby took a handful of pictures that didn't come out well, but here's the best of the bunch just to give you an idea. I didn't find any pics, reviews or videos from the show yesterday and I haven't had a chance to look yet today.

Sorry to hear about the shortened setlist PM. I hope Peoria makes up for it!

Still haven't found any videos from my show, but these are very representative of it. In fact, these were from an April, 2011 show, but I'm not sure which one.

Notice how he seems to try to do things on the guitar that he's just not able to do. Also notice how he has to struggle a little to hit those high notes. I love him to death, just sayin' he's better with a band behind him IMO.

Forgot to mention in my review that we were so close you could see him spray saliva as he sang, especially with the totally black backdrop.

I agree PM - I think he's probably better with a band backing him.

Wow - I'm impressed. That's just one more thing Jackson seems to have in common with Glenn!

I still would love to see Jackson, but, sadly, it doesn't look like it's in the cards for me this time around.

Cathy, so sorry that you had a shortened show, but glad you had a chance to see Jackson. I know I have always enjoyed his solo acoustic concerts, and I also love seeing him with his band.
Hope you have a great time seeing him in Peoria! Please review that one for us too!
