Jackson's solo acoustic albums are stunning. You're right about the intimacy, PM - it really feels like you're there in the audience, gathered around a little stage. I love the version of Sky Blue and Black on there, and My Stunning Mystery Companion. All are beautiful, though.

I wasn't familiar with this song Soda. I listened to it on Youtube and I like it very much. I can see that I need to start collecting the entire JB catalogue!

One of the lines from that song inspired my second YouTube username:

"Here I stand on the edge of my embattled illusions"

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten

I love his use of words, and as much as I would like him to explain the meaning of every song I can also appreciate what he says about every listener having their own interpretation.

I didn't know where else to put this but it looks like Jackson is getting his own signature model Gibson acoustic guitar.

Thanks Austin. Very cool! (And cute photo!)

Since my last post I have got Solo Acoustic Vol. 2 and Time The Conqueror. Working towards getting all of them!

This is a great recent performance of a gorgeous song. Still can't believe he wrote it when he was sixteen...

I know many don't like the beard but I love it! But then you all know me by now...

    Enjoy.

Thank you Troub for reviving this thread! I loved the video. There are lots of good ones from that festival. He's so okay with non-perfection, he seems to like very organic performances, and I find that so appealing!

You're right - I prefer no beard, but I'm so enamored with him at this point I'll take him any way! I've been checking his site every day hoping he'll extend his solo tour. I've got to see him again!

Here's the song Soda mentioned above, Looking Into You, from Kirchner.

Love these. I wanna see him live bad!

"Don't confront me with my failures. I had not forgotten them." Such lyrics - at 16!

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten
