BK, to answer your question, my husband is a MAJOR ELP/Emerson & Lake fan. We recently got the Greg Lake Live DVD. Lucky Man is one of the few songs that can make him cry.

As for Ian Hunter, of course he likes the Mott stuff, but I think he prefers the solo work - his favourite song of all time is Irene Wilde, which also makes him cry. We've got a couple of Hunter Live DVDs. But his all time hero is Frank Zappa. I'll ask him when & where he saw ELP/Hunter - probably back in Newcastle.

BTW the songs of mine you bolded, I assume they are favourites of yours too?

I'll compile another one of these soon. They are such fun! I love everyone else's musical choices!

FP -- I actually bolded the ones that I thought were funny and/or interesting! At the risk of sounding ignorant, I really only know two of the songs you listed! "One Love/People Get Ready". Isn't that terrible? I should at least be familiar with that 10CC song -- I love them! Oh well. There's a gazillion songs out there! I can't possibly know all of them!

By the way, I saw ELP back in 1977! God, they were great! I, too, have a few of their DVDs (some concert footage, some interviews, etc.). I don't have any Mott or Ian Hunter video -- just audio. Never seen him live either. Wish I had!! I really like him.

That is so sweet that your husband cries at hearing Lucky Man. It is a great song!! Beautiful melody, haunting ... and Greg Lake's voice ... well, need I say more? I am not familiar (once again) with the one you mention by Ian Hunter. I'm going to have to look up some of these songs. Everyone has such diverse taste!

Oh timfan, I love Tears in Heaven and Never Tear Us Apart! Great songs, both!

Oh, and, I don't want to forgot to mention that I love the songs you got for Wedding and Birth of a Child. I have never heard Anne Murray's version of Amazing Grace. I love that song and I'll be she does it beautifully!

I took me awhile, but I finally got them all put back plus several albums that I just hadn't taken the time to do.

You probably notice I'm pretty much all about Classic Rock! I don't have any current rock at all. Some country.
