Default How should the Eagles revamp the setlist for their 40th Anniversary?

As talked about in Joe's section, apparently the Eagles would like to revamp their shows and do more songs of "Desperado" and "On the Border." I know we always do this every now and then and probably have a thread on this, but....what would you like the setlist to look like for their 40th Anniversary Tour?

Yeah SL - we've been discussing this in several places on the board so it's nice to have an official thread for this topic. However, I'm going to have to give this a lot more thought before I can respond.

I have some thoughts on this but I am reluctant to proffer them at the moment.

Ooh, an official thread! I have to give this topic a lot of thought, though. There's so many songs I'd love to hear live!

So, I've got a few ideas as to what I'd like them to bring back! And, since this is the EAGLES 40th anniversary, I say they should drop some solo songs to accommodate the additions. I mean, these guys have a freaking stable full of hits to pull out!

Now, they mustn't drop recent additions BOML or SBR to add any of these, nor their standards such as TITTL, TIE, etc. that they played on the LROOE tour when it was in full flower.

    I'd especially like to see....
    Already Gone
    Ol' 55
Doolin-Dalton/Desperado Reprise (this would blow everyone's minds)
    Victim of Love
    Those Shoes
Pretty Maids All in a Row
New Kid in Town (maybe it could be lowered a key to be more manageable?)

And it would also be awesome to see....
    Out of Control
    Somebody
    Tequila Sunrise
    Saturday Night
    After the Thrill Is Gone
    Get Over It
What Do I Do with My Heart (yeah, I know this was never played live, but a girl can dream)

I agree! I have to wonder if whoever wrote it is even a fan. He had an uncomplimentary thing to say about the Eagles/Chicks concerts on the McGraw/Chesney picture.

I bet he hasn't been to a show lately and got this setlist off of some past tour - when was the last time they played "Already Gone"? Admittedly, they did ironically use the song on their advertisements for the LROOE tour.

Indeed, "Already Gone" is one of the most requested songs for the Eagles to ADD to their setlist!

At least he is fan enough to know some of their deeper cuts. Perhaps this statement was intended to show that off, although it backfired with the glaring "Already Gone" mistake.

P.S. If my Long Beach bootleg is any indication, "King of Hollywood" is a real dud live.
