I love the 40 songs for 40 years idea. A lot of songs are included in Brooke's list that I'd love to hear live.

I wonder if they'd do a roughly-chronological setlist this time...

I do like the idea of TIE as an opener, with IYWN as the ending, but then I also like the idea of TIE as the ending...

I thought about that, too. If they're going to play videos, it would be really neat to have it step-by-step like that. They could end on "How Long" or "Waiting in the Weeds" - something from LROOE. "Waiting in the Weeds" would be in some ways appropriate and in some ways a bit of a downer. I'd pick "How Long" because not only do Glenn and Don share vocals with makes it especially Eagley, but you get the "bye bye baby" which is definitely right for a final song!

At any rate, I think the chronological order idea is a good one.

I LOVE Brooke's setlist idea. Something for everyone. I would be ok with the Desperado/LROOE songs if I was getting all of those others. And I have to say THANKS to Brooke for including Life's Been Good in there. I agree, it's an Eagles song now (to me, at least).

I like the idea of closing with Take It Easy because it would kinda bring the 40th anniversary show around full circle. But, I also think the chronological order idea would work too. Doing How Long last would also kinda bring the show full circle too since they performed the song in their early shows.

Oh good grief - so many possibilities!

I agree! I have to wonder if whoever wrote it is even a fan. He had an uncomplimentary thing to say about the Eagles/Chicks concerts on the McGraw/Chesney picture.

I bet he hasn't been to a show lately and got this setlist off of some past tour - when was the last time they played "Already Gone"? Admittedly, they did ironically use the song on their advertisements for the LROOE tour.

Indeed, "Already Gone" is one of the most requested songs for the Eagles to ADD to their setlist!

At least he is fan enough to know some of their deeper cuts. Perhaps this statement was intended to show that off, although it backfired with the glaring "Already Gone" mistake.

P.S. If my Long Beach bootleg is any indication, "King of Hollywood" is a real dud live.

I certainly don't want them to drop Lyin' Eyes, Witchy Woman, or One of These Nights. Now if we're talking about additions how about Outlaw Man, Out of Control, Already Gone, James Dean, Ol' 55, Good Day in Hell, New Kid in Town, Victim of Love and Those Shoes just for starters.
