Dear Glenn,

I hope you have a very, very happy birthday with your family & friends.

This year has been very special for me. I had the greatest privilege of watching those incredible solo shows at Niagara Falls, along with other Borderers. It's no exaggeration to say that I'm still recovering. All the risks you took singing those songs - to be there hearing you sing those songs for the first time in public was an absolute gift from you. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I eagerly await the release of your first new album since 1992 next year and your 40th year with the band you founded and still lead.

PM: that comment about how his voice has 'heart' is so accurate that I can only echo it with my own phrase. Don is Golden Throat; he is Velvet Throat.

GA: thank you for using some of my Sydney photos in that collage as well as the Fallsview photos. I think that is the best one yet.
