My favorite is "O Holy Night." That song, if done right, can bring me to tears!
Here's an amazing version:

I don't really have a favorite Christmas song...but some will get stuck in my head - right now it's this one.

What about food? Does anybody have a traditional food or is it something different every year?

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
I don't know if I can pick a favorite Christmas song. There are many, such as.....
The Christmas Song
What Child Is This
O Holy Night
Go Tell It On The Mountain
White Christmas
Silver Bells
Winter Wonderland
Let It Snow
Marshmallow World
and of course, Please Come Home For Christmas. Can't remember who sings it tho! lol
I can't even imagine living where it's warm at Christmas. I must have, at least, cold weather in order to sing those songs! A bit of snow is preferable. How do you sing all those songs about cold, snow, fireplaces, and Eskimos? But it's where I've lived all my life, so I'm sure for those who live in a warm climate it's the same.
Food? Love turkey and dressing and all the fixings. My Mom was wondering what to have for Christmas dinner and that was my suggestion. She usually has ham. Even though we just had it for Thanksgiving I'd love it for Christmas too! And pumpkin pie too!
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"

We don't.
When I was growing up we only had the traditional Christmas carols, which was fine by me although I am not religious. It wasn't until fairly recently that those other songs began to be heard & I honestly wouldn't think most people would sing them.
I should say though that I have spent four Christmases overseas - Venice (1972), Philadelphia (1980), San Antonio (1988 ) and London (1992).
We tend to split the Christmas music into 'Carols' (The Religious ones) and 'Songs' (The secular ones). My favourite Christmas carol has always been (and always will be) 'Oh Holy Night', while I have a few favourites in the Secular songs. They would include:
'Fairytale of New York',
'Please Come Home For Christmas' and I also particularly like
'I'll be Home For Christmas'. (Just like you Dreamer )
I also love the 'Sleighride' instrumental.

I may have heard a couple of versions of I'll Be Home For Christmas that I like.
"For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation!"
(Glenn Frey)
Yeah, we tend to go for Turkey, Ham, roasted and mashed potatoes, veg (including Brussels sprouts) stuffing, and gravy for the main meal, with Christmas pudding (fruit and alcohol based) and sherry trifle for dessert. Very yummy!
All day we also have boxes of sweets (candy) and biscuits (cookies) open that anyone can eat at will. And I must confess, I also indulge in a little non edible Sugar at some stage over the day.

I can't remember the last time I ate turkey. We have chicken & ham and a lot of fruit like cherries, plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots because they are all in season. Then when we go to my mother's place for Boxing Day we have seafood.
Thats another thing. I know in the UK and obviously Australia they call 26th December 'Boxing Day'. We call it 'St Stephens Day'. What do the rest of you guys call it?
