Nah, immunity is more trouble than it's worth. I got tired of people getting all upset when a song they didn't like was protected. I personally think immunity is fun because it makes the game less predictable, but I don't think it's fun to listen to a bunch of complaining. Thus, I decided to stop doing it.

Yes. I must say I liked the immunity too and we used it in the last SC survivor. But I can totally see where you are coming from Soda. I wonder if it will effect the results in any way compared to the last game?

BTW if anyone hasn't seen the Sexy Girl video and is wondering about the "stalker" reference, here it is:

While the peeping tom aspect is kind of icky, I love the beginning where Glenn is having "songwriter's block." He looks so cute messing around with the piano and surrounded by his array of beers, coffee cups, and soda. Plus, the end where he gets all dolled up and puts on his rockin' sunglasses only to be denied is hilarious.

My guess is that the only rounds that may be somewhat affected by the lack of immunity questions are the middle rounds. I’d be very surprised if it affects the final outcome. I liked the immunity questions too, but I agree the downside outweighs the advantages for now. Besides I like the fact that as we recycle these games that we are playing one game with immunity and the other without it for each game.

And Willie – As we always say, it is our differences that keep things interesting around here. And I’m gonna have to really disagree with you about Common Ground. I absolutely love the song, and consider it one of Glenn’s finest vocal performances. The music, melody, lyrics, and vocals are all superb, IMHO.

As far as Sexy Girl, while I don’t think the song is as bad as some of you, I do agree that it should be the first to go in this game. I actually like the verses and love the bridge in the song – it’s just the unmelodic repetitive verses that bring it down for me. I think the video for the song is really cute and it actually makes the song more enjoyable for me, but, of course, we’re not voting on the video here. In any event, I was going to vote for Sexy Girl if the vote had remained unanimous, but now I’ll vote strategically instead. I’ll probably ruffle Soda’s feathers with this, but …

I cast my vote for Brave New World.

Dreamer, well said about Common Ground. I could not agree more.

I have to disagree with Dreamer. I think "Brave New World" is exciting and dramatic; it also has a passionate vocal. I mean, we're talking apocalypse! This is intense stuff!

All the songs left are good. However, as nice as the sentiment of "Common Ground" is, I find it a bit less interesting than the others. Plus, if you want a stellar vocal from the collection's new songs, try "This Way to Happiness." To me, that's the one where his voice really shines.

I cast my vote for Common Ground.
