Very sad news. There was an article the other day, that she was asked by Simon to be a judge on X-Factor & she was considering the offer. She also just finished a movie with Jorden Sparks called "Sparkle" soon to be released.
Report is that she was found in a hotel room in LA. Tragedy

I arrived home from a movie to hear the news and was shocked but not surprised. As Patton Oswalt said on Twitter tonight, "We watched this happen in super-slow motion." She had such a gorgeous voice. Loved her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl.

I can't even explain how heartbroken I feel. I know everyone is assuming that it was a drug overdose, but I really hope it wasn't. There will never ben another Whitney Houston....ever. She was a one of a kind talent. I feel devasted.

Unfortunately she has had drug problems for over 10 years. She claimed to be clean in an interview with Oprah in 2010, but lately they say she didn't look well. I heard she was escorted out of a club last night in Hollywood. She was in town for the Grammy's.
Just reported that Clive Davis cancelled his Pre-Grammy party due to Whitneys
passing.

When I read this, I literally gasped. I'm heartbroken. Her voice was so amazing that, for a long time, being able to do justice to a Whitney Houston song was the mark of a talented singer, and every talent show had wannabes attempting them. The way drugs destroyed her is especially tragic since she fell so far.

This song by Whitney Houston has given me chills before, and now it brings tears to my eyes because it's so appropriate.

You had your One Moment in Time, Whitney; I just wish it could have been longer.
