I've never been into this kind of music either, but I think I might be about to undergo a conversion.

Hey, in case you're wondering, I decided to separate out press for the new album into its own thread, since this is such a big deal.

Times have changed so much since Strange Weather. Although he attempted to promote that album, there was no internet to spread the word then. I am not really expecting this album to be a big seller but I would expect it to receive some reasonable press attention.

Thanks Koala! I must say I just love the cover. But I wonder is his pic on the flip side?

I was wondering the same thing, Anne. I'm betting it will be, but if he wants to surprise us with a new picture, that'll be fine too. An album insert with lots of pictures will also work for me!

So how many of us remember the release of Strange Weather & what happened then? As we all know, it was not a commercial success.

I will just say that when it was released I was in my 'down' period where I had tried to give the whole thing up. I bought the album & then I bought the Dublin video, but it took me a long time before I really started to appreciate it.

For me at least it's been a long 20 years; 20 years without new solo music from Glenn apart from the four songs that were on the Solo Collection. 20 years since I have been in this position where I have an album by him, with him singing every song, to look forward to. I still don't quite know how I'm going to deal with it, but it's very important to me. And again I should stress; the difference is that when Strange Weather was released, I didn't care, or I pretended I didn't care.
