WTH!?!??!?! Glenn would of had to ok this, right? Yikes!!
He sings it high, he plays it low
That gave me a headache!
I guess the good news is that as one of the songwriters of YBTTC, he should get some $$ from any money it makes.

I'm sure there's a place for rap in the music world..... but not in my head!
Hope Glenn gets double royalty for allowing YBTTC to be used in that!

Glenn Frey 1948-2016 RIP
"The City is Mine" was released fifteen years ago; Glenn and Tempchin do get some change from it! Rap stars sample others' music all the time, and they've learned from hard experience that they need to get permission to do that and then cough up the corresponding royalties, lol.
Another solo song that has been sampled is "Smuggler's Blues" in the song "Nature of the Business" by Coolio.
Here's a couple examples of the Eagles getting sampled (follow the link to hear it - warning: cussing)
- "Those Shoes" was sampled by the Beastie Boys in the song "High Plains Drifter"
- "Life in the Fast Lane" was sampled by Limp Bizkit in "Livin' It Up"
This came up a while back in a thread about Glenn Frey and Hip-Hop.
