His voice was perfect, as usual!!!!

I did want to ask you guys that went tho. Now that you've seen him live, is there one song that stood out to you? Maybe a song that you liked on Expando, but now that you've seen live, appreciate more so? Favorite song live?

wow that is a really hard question...I think if you put a gun to my head I'd have to say "Downtime" from Expando...his voice is amazing!...I was sooo happy to hear "I Don't Want to Hear Anymore"..was hoping for something from LROOE and I got it!!...I agree with Dreamer one of my faves on Expando is "Melancholy" and it's the only song on the CD that he does not do...I think it's a beautiful song ..love the melody and once again cannot say enough about the man's voice...I don't mean to go on, but after seeing the Eagles in Atlanta, and now having seen him twice solo all within a month (wow)..I feel his talent is sooo underused in the Eagles...I don't get it..

Well, after being off the board for so long, there is no way I can catch up on everything, but I did want to comment in this thread. As we say, "Better late than never" (well, sometimes, at least ).

First of all, it was great seeing VA again, and meeting Zelda for the first time. We had a fun little visit before the show started. VA - you outdid yourself with these pictures - they are awesome! And Zelda - I am delighted that you were able to catch the show in New York - now why is it whenever I have canceled or delayed flights that things never work out quite that well for me?

Anyway, as all of you can tell - Tim looked and sounded great at this show. The one thing I noticed most of all was how much more relaxed he seemed this time around compared to when I saw him back in 2009. His personality really seemed to shine on this night. He was awesome and definitely exceeded my expectations. Although, I admit I was mildly disappointed that he didn't do Melancholy, I wasn't surprised. I had just hoped he would. I'd love to know why this is the only song from Expando that he doesn't perform.

I actually wondered about that. I was hoping to hear from someone who had seen him last time around to see if they thought he might be more relaxed and comfortable to be the center of attention this time. Thanks for the observation.

Yeah Willie - I only saw one show in 2009 and one show on this tour, but to me, I thought he seemed a lot more comfortable and relaxed this time around. He was a lot more talkative and his sense of humor really came through as he told a little story before almost every song. Sometimes he would stammer a bit as he was telling a story or even forgot what he wanted to say a couple of times, but was very cute the way he handled it with humor.
