Default Celebration of "Love Me Or Leave Me Alone"

I can't believe I forgot about this one! Randy's most recent album, Love Me Or Leave Me Alone, was released 8 years ago last Friday (June 1). The album is comprised of previously unreleased songs that were recorded between 1978 and 1999. I'm quite fond of this album and I love all of the songs on it. I'll look for some of the songs on youtube and post them here later today.

I first heard this song on Mesiner, Swan, and Rich. I couldn't detect much of a difference between the two versions, although it's been a while. I do like the song a lot!

This is one of my favorites. Dramatic and a great melody - of course it's well sung. I don't understand why this was an outtake!

This is another one that I don't understand why it wasn't put on an album. It's so catchy!

There isn't much difference between the two. The music is a bit different and this version is a little longer. Unless you listen to them back to back its hard to detect a difference at all.

These songs, along with several others on the album, sound like they were recorded in the late 80s or early 90s. Since Randy didn't release any solo music around that time it may just be that whatever album they were intended for never came to fruition.

OK, I see by our EOC notes that Randy wrote/cowrote most of these...not bad!! Wish that a) I could find some dates on when they were recorded and b) there were some more of these gems locked away somewhere...now I can truly say I celebrate the man's entire catalog!!

I particularly liked the title track, Midnight Rain, Salt in My Tears, When the Dam Breaks...and Randy's take on Take it Easy

I also like the songs you picked with the exception of "Take It Easy" - Randy's version comes nowhere near the original, IMHO. The rest of the songs you list are really enjoyable, though, and it would be cool if some more surfaced.
