The way he speaks, and the hair a little bit, always remind me of Jeff Spicoli

Yeah, I like that interview. This part is hilarious: http://youtu.be/M0nIbMGocfk?t=41m42s

[Howard asks Joe about Stevie Nicks writing a song for him]

Joe: "Has Anyone Ever Wrote A Song For You?"

Howard: Hell no. I wish you would.

Joe: No, that's how the song goes, stupid!

    Howard: Oh, oh, oh, #@$&!

I still have to read that rolling stone article you posted Turf

but just from the quotes you posted Turf, I love it...those Randy and Bernie quotes are great..very insightful!

also I love your avatar and sig pics Turf!
I'm not the biggest Felder fan, but that particular picture of him has been one of my faves..prob the facial hair along with how sensual he looks.. his tousled hair...full lips...

Thanks. To be fair, AWE21 posted the article originally and also provided the first two quotes from Randy and Bernie. I posted the second Randy quote. It's a good article that provides some interesting perspective.

I agree with you; that has to be one of Felder's best pictures. I believe credit goes to Nancy and Maleah for making such great avatars and signature banners available to the members of this forum.

    oh you're right!

I was playing catch up and got confused when I went back to respond!
sorry AWE21 where credit was due!!

also yes all of these sites are wonderful! Nancy and everyone else involved deserve credit for making them fantastic and thoroughly detailed!

However, I was simply commenting on and complimenting your choice of making that particular Felder photo your avatar

Saw the first part today. I liked it. Would have liked a bit more Don F though.
I loved the fact that so many lesser-known songs were heard. Tryin', Most Of Us Are Sad, Train Leaves Here This Morning, Earlybird, Bitter Creek, Certain Kind Of Fool, You Never Cry Like a Lover, Too Many Hands, Journey Of the Sorcerer, Try And Love Again. Not sure if Take the Devil (one of my favourites) was there, but it could've been...
It could have been a "hits only" thing, but I'm glad it wasn't. This way someone who's not a huge fan, but sees the documentary, could catch different things like JOTS

So today, I FINALLY saw a Blu Ray copy of the History Of The Eagles in a music store... Grabbed it...

I haven't seen any of it besides the trailer on YouTube. Hoping the better half is up to watching Part 1 tonight...

I have finished watching the DVD for the 3rd time. I find it fascinating!

I did not know a great deal about Bernie Leadon prior to the documentary. I thought his comments were insightful and self-assured. He really seems to have a great perspective on the Eagles and his life.

There seems to be a mutual respect between Bernie, Don H. and Glenn Frey. When Glenn relates the great story of the beer pouring incident, he does it with a smile and a chuckle. There is none of the animosity that you feel when Glenn and Don H. discuss Don Felder. Bernie is clearly sincere in his regret about doing that to Glenn. Don H. speak about Bernie with respect as well.

I found it to be very enlightening.
