Also, MV - I don't see Take It Easy on that list. We know that one was performed.

Oh yes, I do understand they varied a bit. I just thought someone wanted to see a basic set from around the time of the show. As Emily Litella used to say, never mind.

It would be interesting to see the DC setlist compared to the other shows in and around that time. Since they knew they were recording, I got the impression they did things in a different order, if my friend is remembering it correctly.

Thanks MV - I'm glad you posted that setlist. It is helpful, but I just don't think it's complete. The setlist on the '76 Houston bootleg that I have is exactly the same as what you posted, but I always thought that it was missing a few songs - Take It Easy being the most obvious. And at some point during the Hotel California tour, other songs from the album were added to the setlist, including New Kid In Town, Life In the Fast Lane, Victim of Love, and Pretty Maids All In a Row.

I had no idea they did Pretty Maids on that tour. I'd love to hear that!

Well - I thought I'd mention that today is the one year anniversary of the History of the Eagles airing on Showtime. Yep - it's been a whole year already since most of us first saw it and this thread is still active - it's like we can't stop talking about it.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HISTORY OF THE EAGLES!!!
I'm going to try to watch it again over the weekend to celebrate.

Indeed - this thread has over 2100 posts and still counting, and has been read by over 200 registered members; there's no way to track unregistered visitors to this particular thread, but we've had an increase in those on the board overall in the past year. Looks like the doc was a hit!
Happy 1 year Anniversary to the HOTE documentary. I really don't remember when I started watching the HOTE documentary, but every since then I've been watching it over and over and over again. And I'm still not tired of watching it every single day. It gets me through those 4 hours of work in teh afternoon.
I probably going to watch the first part tonight and then the second part tomorrow like they did a year ago. Or I will watch all tonight or tomorrow.
Happy Birthday HOTE!
Just to go back to the setlist MV posted, Tequila Sunrise seems such an odd song to end on On the DVD, Glenn does the usual 'We're the Eagles from Los Angeles!' after Hotel Cali, at which point Joe does his legendary firecracker line. When Joe says this he's holding a Telecaster, which obviously he doesn't use for Lyin' Eyes; which leads me to believe it would have been followed by something like Victim of Love where to the best of my knowledge Glenn, Joe and Don F. were all on electrics.
Happy Birthday HOTE! We didn't get it until April over here but that doesn't matter. It's a wonderful DVD. I had hoped to watch it tonight but I was outvoted by two little people who wanted Harry Potter!
Still I can do it tomorrow! Same weekend. I can never get enough if this DVD. And I'm delighted that I got two shots at seeing the live show!
