Oh no! I loved him. Seemed to be such a nice man. Loved Mayberry RFD and The Andy Griffith Show. May he RIP.

Yes, some of us here would have watched the first runnings of The Andy Griffith Show. It was always considered a wholesome show and almost always had a moral at the end. I don't know anything about Andy Griffith's personal life or how he was when the cameras weren't running, but he did so much good just by this one TV show.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
Oh no...I always loved The Andy Griffith Show...still watch it if it's on...RIP Andy..and my mom always loved him in Matlock...
So sorry to hear of his death. I always respected him. Never saw the Andy Griffith show when it aired originally, but have seen several episodes since. I remember him best from Matlock. I loved him in that series. RIP, Andy
An American icon. They don't make TV shows like that anymore. RIP Andy.
I agree with everyone's sentiments here. I also loved the Andy Griffith Show. It is one of the first shows I remember watching - it was a must see. I remember my Mom teaching us 'the lessons of life' by The Andy Griffith and Leave It to Beaver shows. He seemed to be a very decent man and was definitely a role model for me (and my Mom, no doubt). I glad that he had a good, full life.
R.I.P. Andy Griffith.

So sorry to hear this. He was such a strong figure in family tv morals, like My Three Sons. I will always remember the Matlock show as well, watched many eps of the Andy Griffith Show. What an icon. May he Forever Rest in the Arms of Angels.
