Yeah, I think so too. What a true friend!

I've also seen a movie on tv based on the story.

What movie is this? I would be interested in seeing it. These friends were trying to grant his final wishes, but the way they went about it was so bizarre & to try to cremate a body with a match & gasoline! Yikes. I'm shocked they weren't charged with stealing a body? There's no law about that? The whole story is just so strange.

On another note, the Poco song "Crazy Eyes" written by Richie Furay was written about his friend, Gram shortly before he died. Gram also wrote the song, "Brass Buttons" on the Poco album.

I don't remember the name of it for sure, it's been a few years, but this sounds like it.

Brooke, Thanks for the information about the movie. I really want to see it. I was reading the reviews & it looks very interesting. I know very little about him, but he sounds like someone I would like to learn more about.

Your welcome, Tk. When I watched the movie I hadn't even heard of Gram Parsons before. Now I'd like to see it again too.

I did a sketch of Gram this afternoon. It needs a bit of retouching tomorrow, but here's a few scans of it...

Aw, thanks! I enjoyed it. There are a couple of things that I are irritating me that I need to fix, but I'm pleased in general. He's a good subject.
