Happy anniversary to it - it is a shame that it was his last true solo album.

I have recently really gotten into his solo albums. His high harmonies with the Eagles are his trademark but his voice really shines in the solo albums along with Poco Legacy album. His voice is versatile; he can sound country or rock.

I love this album; it's my favorite one of Randy's. "Never Been in Love" is probably my favorite Randy solo song, mainly for sentimental reasons. I remember hearing it on the radio and the DJ saying Randy's name and something about being with the Eagles.

Happy 35th Anniversary to "Randy Meisner" 1982!!

I absolutely love this album from beginning to end. There's so much energy and excitement in the songs. This solo tour is near the top if not the top of my time-travel bucket list. I wish he could have continued with this sound b/c it suited him very well, although as I have said before, his voice was versatile enough to sing anything. It's a shame there was not a single video to promote this album. There could have been a couple of more hits with more exposure. I also think a different title would have helped so there wouldn't be confusion with the 1978 album.

His voice here is powerful and silky and expressive.

BTW, "Never Been in Love" entered the Billboard chart at #84 the week of July 31, 1982 (35 years ago last week) and stayed on the chart for 11 weeks. It peaked at #28. There was a lot of competition on the charts during this period.

Happy Anniversary to Randy Meisner 1982!!

I agree with everything you said, Delilah! If you find a way to time travel, please make sure you take me with you. "Never Been In Love" is my fav from this album. I think it should have gone much higher than 28.

Happy 37th Anniversary to my favorite Randy solo album, S/T 1982!!

This album rocks! I wish he could have pursued this sound and made another album in this vein. A video would have been great, too.

This is one of my favorite tracks, “Tonight” written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

A video would have been great. If only this album had received more support and publicity! Love the power of this song's chorus.

I came across this ad from Billboard, Aug. 7, 1982 and thought it was pretty cool. I wish it were better quality.
