    Default Seneca Allegany Casino, Salamanca, NY 8/11/12

    just got back from seeing Joe...he was amazing as I knew he would be...the place was full...if I'm not mistaken, Analog Man was the only song he did from the CD which surprised me...he did a lot of things that weren't familiar to me...but he is so talented, I don't care what he plays...I was hoping he would do Pretty Maids All In A Row, but he didn't... he did his tribute to Levon Helm...I Shall Be Released...really beautiful song...his background singers were excellent on this song...I lost track of how many guitars he used after five or six...I wonder how many he travels with?...the evening went way too fast...I could have sat there for at least a couple more hours...only two drawbacks...I didn't care for his bass player...only kidding...and there was this big guy with a Troy Polamalu jersey on sitting in front of me and there was a big guy sitting next to me...had trouble seeing around and over them...why does this always happen?...would go again in a heartbeat!

    Glad you had a good time, but I'm sorry to hear he's only doing "Analog Man" from the new album now. Thanks for the words about the show!

    Glad you enjoyed the show Zelda. I am also surprised that he only did Analog Man from the new album?? That sure does sound odd....but I guess with Joe you never know what he's going to do! Hope he did Rocky Mountain Way because when I saw him, he really rocked that song!

    Sounds good, Zelda, but I hope he doesn't drop all of his new songs. I thought he was touring to promote the new album?

    I have yet to see a full setlist from any of these shows. If it were me, I would be very disappointed if Analog Man was the only new song being played. I am not all that crazy about the album, to be honest, but I would still hope that at least a couple of the songs were being played.

    I promise a full set list from tomorrow's show! Of course, I can't promise when I'll get it posted. This is not going to be a good week...

    When I saw him, it was a promotional show he was doing in NY, so it was not a full show, but I did manage to get the set list. This was a free show so it was short, but really good. He played extended versions. It was almost an hour long;

    Here's the set;
    In The City
    Analog Man
    Rocky Mountain Way
    Lucky that Way
    Funk 49
    Life's Been Good
    Life In the Fast Lane

    Yeah - VA and I will see Joe tomorrow night in Vienna. I'm sure I'll enjoy the show, but it is disappointing that he isn't doing more songs from the album. I don't get it - Joe is touring so extensively, presumably to promote this album, but yet it's almost like he's saying I have this new album that I want you to buy, but the songs aren't really worth playing. I think it is a really good album and I would have thought he would play at least 3 or 4 songs from it. I would personally love to hear One Day At a Time, Wrecking Ball, Lucky That Way, and, of course, Analog Man.
