Well, this has been one crazy weekend. I'm still not all the way back home - I decided to overnight with my friend in Mississippi and hit the final three and a half hours to Memphis tomorrow when I'm more awake.
In short, Stevie was incredible. She added a song that she'd never done live before as her encore, "Love Is," and it was beautiful. She also threw in a cover she hasn't done before - Tom Petty's "You Wreck Me" - and although I love to hear Stevie's solo songs, variations in the setlist are a treat even if they are covers.
There was a lot of drama between fans and security that marred the show somewhat, but Stevie herself was really "on." She was going after those high notes, grabbing that mike stand and pulling it back and howling like nobody's business! She rocks my socks!
More detail later.
But before I go to bed tonight, I've gotta switch my avatar - Stevie weekend is over, and now it's time to prep for the POT!
