Yes - it was the Michigan show on the Prelude to Obscurity tour. Glenn was doing a M&G for casino VIPs. A lady who was a casino VIP recognized me from a show earlier that year and gave me a backstage pass, but there were three of us - me, PLS, and Bree - and of the three, only Bree hadn't yet met him, so I gave it to her. She only got to talk to him for a few seconds and get the picture taken.

I'll let Willie give you more details, but basically she saw him walk out the door. He said he would come back but he never did.Originally Posted by zeldabjr

they shoud do like earth wind and fire
They sell vback stage passes and you get to go back to a designated area and have a professional picture taken the band. You get to shake their hands and say Hey but no autographs and they smile and the picture is taken and you get it and leave. The money raised goes to the bands charity for music in inner city school programs. its a win win situation.
one of my best concert memories ..everythime we have seen them we did it . LOved the expierence. The original band members (verdeen white,Ralph johnson and Philip Bailey are very humble people and thank you for supporting them and their charity.

VA - I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that Joe hadn't done any recent M&Gs - I was aware that he did these, but I guess I had one of those brain farts. I mean we were just talking about these on our recent trip to AC. Unfortunely, mentioning Atlantic City and Meet 'n Greets together makes me cringe. I can't ever go to AC without being reminded about the one and only M&G that I was ever supposed to go to that Joe had in AC a few years ago. Some of you newer members may not have heard the story, but it turned into a disaster and I totally missed the entire M&G. Here is the link to the story if anyone wants to read it, but, be warned, it is kind of a downer ...

And VA and HH - it looks like we have a few things to sort out on our next trip in November about pecking order, travel companions, etc.

Glenn Frey 11/06/1948 - 01/18/2016
We had an old thread about it. I got to meet Don in 2004 and I posted about it here:

Our own DonFan also met him earlier in the thread.

I think Ticky got to meet Joe at a M&G in Oregon 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm actually very surprised they did any Meet & Greets at all. I would not have expected that. There were never any M&G at any show I was at...I know they wouldn't do it at an Eagles show, but not at any solo shows either.
