Z- that is beautiful! What a wonderful gift for their baby! I do not believe there is anything store bought that can beat something that is handmade by a friend or family member.

    The afghan is lovely Brenda.

And PM - good luck with solving your bracelet problem. I have no idea how to help you, but I know there are a lot of 'craftier' people than me on the board, so hopefully, some of them will have some ideas for you.

I bought this bracelet a short while ago to honor Hubby's brother, Chuck. It is an ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) bracelet. It has the ALS colored beads and a baseball glove charm to represent Lou Gehrig. The problem is that there is nothing to stop the beads and charm from falling to the underside of the bracelet; therefore when I have it on it looks like a plain wire bracelet. This photo is taken from the underside; that's why it looks okay in the pic.

My question is, is there something I can apply myself to stop the beads from sliding underneath? I thought of clear plastic earring backs, but the wire is too thick and bent (where it closes) to slide anything onto it. Is there something that I can crimp onto both sides of the beads to keep them on top?

my first thought was that you could put "stoppers' on it. Like for a chamila or pandora bracelet.one of each side to keep the beads where they should be on top.

But do they have to slide on, or can they be 'crimped' on? I don't think there's any way I can slide anything onto the wire. One end has been bent into a hook and the other has a little ball attached. That's how it closes.

Where can I buy these stoppers?

It's beautiful Zelda and really cosy looking. My Mom made quilts for each of my kids when they were babies and they still use them to this day. A great investment in their pleasure!

the stoppers on my bracelet have a hinge on them that you open with your fingernail or a pin. you snap it around your bracelet and lock in in place .and the beads cant slide past the "stopper". so you need one on each side.
they can be plain or decorated with crystals or silver or silver and gold .
the company to goole is "chamilia" thats what i have but pandora is comprable

you cant really fix a bracelet once it is finished with out taking it apart and doing it aall over again.

did you contact the company who made it and tell them your issue and ask them for a solution ?

look up chamilia and go to "locks"
when yuo find what you want, do a search of a store in your area and I suggest you go there to try in on your bracelet to see if it solves your problem before you spend the $$ to buy it. Most stores will let you try it before you buy it.
let me know how you make out

Thanks TT. I bought it off of Etsy, so I don't think a company made it...I will take a look at what you suggested, and yes, if possible, I might contact the maker.
