    LOL, GA!

    You received a wonderful gift for Christmas, and I'm sure you will treasure it always. I still have my first guitar, which my parents bought me in 1990, and the one I currently use, a Cort acoustic electric, I purchased in 1999. Those are the only guitars I have, but my goal is to obtain a Fender Telecaster, like the one Glenn plays, as in this picture:



    My friend and lead guitarist in our band owns a "Tele", but his pick-up is different from Glenn's . I knew it looked different, but didn't know the reason for the difference, so I described it to my friend, and he explained that Glenn's is a "humbucker" pick-up. It's a double pick-up and apparently minimises the hum that the guitar gives off through the amplifier.


    I've got a peaceful, easy feeling
