2013 Sundance Film Festival - DVD Premiere

Starting a thread for the discussion of the film festival itself. It's from Jan. 17 - 27, 2013, in Park City, Utah. They don't announce the movies until the end of this month, and I'm not clear on when they announce the agenda. Ticket prices vary depending on when you want to go (the first weekend is more expensive and the tickets are hard to get).

Anybody thinking about going?

I'd love to go but it doesn't seem logistically workable with its randomizing of tickets. Imagine going there and not being able to see the movie or the guys!

The movie at the festival will only be Part 1, 1970 through 1980.

25 new interviews with all current and former band members, home movies, personal photos, video and memorabilia as well as footage from a show from the Hotel California tour!!! How exciting would it be to attend the premier? Hmmmmm. I'll have to think about that.

Brrrr. #2, to get guaranteed seats to the movie of your choice, you need to buy a high $$ package, and since it's the first weekend and not the second it costs even more. #3 those ticket packages are already all sold out. #4 airfare only a month in advance? Major $$. Basically, you could spend a heck of a lot of money to get there and stay there and not be able to get in the door of the movie you want (registration started a month ago and even being one of the first for Individual tickets, there's no guarantee of getting into the movie you want).

Guess I'll save my $$ for a tour...
