    ITA! The only thing worse than Valentine's Day when you don't have someone in your life is Valentine's Day when you do have someone in your life. Nothing quite like getting a nice vase of flowers or a gift because your partner feels obligated to give it to you...

    Yes, I feel SO sorry for all those women getting jewelry, roses, candy, fancy dinners, etc. because their partner feels OBLIGATED! What torment they must be suffering right now! It's the same torment I suffer on Christmas and my birthday when I get all those gifts folks feel obligated to buy me.

    I'm going out and buying myself a nice new pair of shoes. I call it "Nancy's Self-Appreciation Day."

    For whatever reason, it's always felt different on V-Day. A few years ago, the guy I was seeing washed and waxed and cleaned the interior of my truck, which I must say was greatly appreciated!

    In our household it isn't observed at all & hasn't been for years. That doesn't mean we're not a happy couple.
