-4 degrees this morning and clear. No snow or ice though! Lots of people around here with frozen water pipes. Ugh! Not me though!

"only" about 15 F here, nicer than last week

-17 here this morning. A balmy -2 right now. -40 with the wind.

Those with snow just be glad you don't live in the south. I've lived just outside of Atlanta most of my life and they still haven't figured out how to handle the white stuff. The only safe thing to do is don't leave your house. And never ever get on the highway.

Well I know many of you have it a lot worse than some of us, but I'll vent anyway. Here in VA, we've had one of the coldest January's on record. And I'm pretty over it, even though I did have a very nice break with the 80° temperatures in L.A. I'm just sick of hearing about how it's colder here than it is in most of Alaska right now. Really? Um - there's a reason that I don't live in Alaska. Oh well - hopefully, things will warm up soon.
