Here in southernmost Georgia we fared pretty well. My daughter is doing her student teaching in Albany and she received noticed yesterday the schools in Dougherty County are closed indefinitely. Many people lost their lives in Albany yesterday and they were still cleaning up from a tornado that went through the area on January 2. Please pray for all affected as I am.
Glad you guys in Grady County fared ok. AG95 has said before that Albany is the town closest to her.
We have had a taste of spring for the last 2-3 weeks. Highs around 70 (normal is 40). Even broke record highs a couple days with 77 F! It's been great! Farmers have been working their fields up even.
Mother Nature is going to teach us a lesson, I fear. Falling temps today after a high of 60 at midnight.
We need rain badly again. We've only had an inch and a half since the new year began.

Bloody hot here, 89 degrees yesterday. The weather folk are consistently low-balling their forecasts, by at least 7 - 9 degrees. Getmeoutofhere, to quote the late and lamented Christina Amphlett (Divinyls).

Bad storms just south of Chicago yesterday. At least 2 tornadoes were within an hour of where I live.
Yes, there were storms here last night too. A tornado was actually spotted about 25 miles from me!
Yesterday a record high of 75. Today a high of 42! It's a roller coaster ride here these days!
