We had a little snow and ice, but not enough to not go to work. drats...
Temps for tonight and tomorrow are going to plummet into the teens. Brrr

little bit of snow in west Houston too ... by some people’s fb reactions, you’d think snowmageddon had hit. for those of us who know how to drive on ice/snow, it’s business as usual. no snow day for me .. i work from home

NKIT — TXDOT has trucks for salting bridges and overpasses, but Houston doesn’t see snow very often .. twice in the last 6 weeks, but that’s very rare.
Schools delay opening/shut down erring on the side of safety .. city sometimes follows suit.

Bitter cold here this morning, -7 degrees warming to 10 right now.

We had a high of 12 yesterday, a skiff of snow and howling winds. Pretty much the same the day before.

Tomorrow 20's, and going up each day! Frozen tundra of Missouri will thaw!

NKIT - I see your question has been answered by tac0mao6. No snowplows in Houston. It is mainly the ice that causes the havoc here. And snow 2 times in 1 season is rare.
I have lived in H-town all my life (over 60 years) & the most snow I have seen at 1 time is 2 or 3 inches.

Freezing cold. Schools are closing because we don't know how to drive with snow and ice in the south lol (I certainly don't lol ). And even stranger it's the 2nd time this year. That NEVER happens.

Stay safe FBT. It really is almost impossible to drive on ice. Snow at least gives you traction until it ices up.Hopefully, people down there will stay off the road.

Thanks. I do not plan on leaving the house unless I absolutely have to lol. All the bridges are still iced over. It was 12 degrees outside when I woke up this morning, with the wind chill in the single digits (and it snowed last night).

According to weather people, it will back in the upper 60s/lower 70s by the weekend lol. Crazy weather!

We had quite a bad storm 2 weeks ago. Then this week the sun is shining and life is wonderful. We had not seen the sunshine in months. It's suppose to start raining then snowing tonight. But today I'll take the sunshine.
