Houston Baby: I live in Montana, the snow has stopped today and sunny but by the weekend it's going below zero. The snow's not so bad but the ice underneath stinks......We normally have mild winters on the west side of the divide but not this year....

almost 36 F here and the snow has practically vanished, that was it for this winter I guess, I'm kinda sad but also happy for the light and the warmth

It's about 20 here in MT and the wind is blowing 40-50 miles per hour.
We have a bonafied blizzard with a lot of school and business closures!
Usually we have mild winters on the west side of the rockies but I guess not this year. Brrrrr.....

It actually broke 42 degrees here today!We haven't seen it this warm for many days! We have a warm day then several very cold days and nights.
But, winter storm predicted for Saturday night in to Sunday. Anywhere from 6-10 inches predicted for my area. Then it's headed east! Look out everyone!
What a winter! Coldest and most snow for us for many years!

during autumn and winter it goes from 12 hours of daylight in mid September to about 9 hours in mid October to a little over 5 hours on the winter solstice day(the shortest day of the year 21. or 22. of December) and then again a bit over 6 hours in mid January to 9 in mid February and about 10-10,5 hours now

It's thunder, lightening and hard rain right now at 10:30 pm PST. We need it so bad, so I am happy for it - I love the rain anyhow!
