Cold up here in my neck of the woods. August and I am sitting outside with a blanket on my legs....sigh! I can hear the catbirds too. Got to get enough energy to turn the pool filter off.

OMG, it is absolutely beautiful here! 77, sunshine, a slight breeze, and low humidity! AC has been shut down and windows opened! Yesterday the high was 65!
I'm feeling fall........

I'm Brooke. That sounds so nice. Though we are experiencing slightly more comfortable temps (90 F instead of 99+), it'll be October or later before the highs will be below 80. Back up to 95 by next week.

I'm in Arkansas today, and it's really nice, like Missouri. Hi of 83 today, humidity only 40%. Sweet!
Oh SHUT UP with this fall business!!! I am still trying to warm up after the polar express from last winter. I wouldn't complain if it was 90 degrees 365 days a year. This gal likes wearing sun dresses & flip flops.
Think it's going to be an early close of the pool this year. My son is going to Texas for a race and it needs to be done before he goes.
Speaking of fall, went to grab a piece of candy and realized this candy was from last Halloween. Sad thing is it still tastes fresh.
Its starting to feel like Autumn/Fall here too! Pleasant, but unlikely for the real heat to come back (not that it really arrived this year). Its pouring rain today, but I suppose when the schools come reopen next week it will get a lot hotter!!

Just watched 2 adult & 8 baby turkeys in my backyard. They flew up into trees. I thought turkeys can't fly!
Found a tick on my son's cat's butt. This is why I don't want them outside.
Turkeys can fly for short distances, jms, as you saw! That reminds me of the cutest sight I saw last spring.....a mama turkey sprinted across the road in front of me with 4 young ones following behind like a string of ducks! Cute!
ETA: weather report! Warmed up to 80ish over the weekend, but back to 70s for this week! Love!

I've seen wild turkeys fly a few yards before.
Well, by the end of the week, there will be a small break from the humidity. The air will be much dryier. Which means that while the temperature will still be 90+, going outside won't feel like stepping into a sauna.

Well temp. is still in the 90's but cannot see the sun due to all the smoke from the forest fires. So basically choking on the smoke and sweating.
