It's a perfect occupation for me.
I honestly don't know if we discussed it in the review of the second Atlanta show last year, but I did mention in the new Chicago anticipation thread that due to the horrors of getting a cab in Atlanta I'll never count on getting one ever after a show. The first night there was a cab right out front and we got yelled out for getting in because the cabbie didn't go where he was supposed to pick up people (the driver we'd thought we hired was a no show). The second night we went to where the cabs were supposed to be. There were at least 100 people in front of us, and we waited for a while and there were no cabs in sight. So we walked and walked, away from the venue and into a neighborhood and flagged down a cab there. As we walked, single file, Lizzy and HH were ahead of me and just after they passed a big guy, he turned and put himself right in my path. We were walking very quickly and there was no stopping that quickly. I bounced off of him and into the side of a van. I landed with my right elbow and hip and bit my tongue, but it was my hip that hurt the most. Because the cabbie was in a hurry, we had to scramble into the cab which was why Lizzy went in head first (I don't think the cabbie thought we were really serious until then).

You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
Thanks for the recap. I actually wasn't sure what you were talking about either, but I didn't know whether I'd just forgotten where you mentioned it before, or whether you simply only intended to talk to each other.
Sounds pretty funny now, although it probably wasn't at the time when you were suffering from all those aches and pains!
