I did it once and no, you don't get to meet the band. It was fun and quite an experience though.

By '$895' seats, I assume you mean from VIP Nation? You don't get to meet the band, but I will say that VIP Nation sells front row packages for other bands that include backstage passes, where you may meet the band but it's unlikely. However, for the Eagles, it doesn't include backstage passes, and you definitely don't meet the band.
The dinners include a raffle where you can get some free merchandise, that's the only thing I can think of that may be included that's not listed.
For each package type, you don't know what seats you're getting until the night of the event. The ones who get into VIP Nation first are the ones who get the best seats. If you're one of the last ones, you could be in a section other than the middle section, and that's especially true of the front row package.

does anyone have any knowledge or could guess from past experiences when the west coast dates for the new tour will be announced?

Curious to know when they'll announce the "ex-band member" joining the tour, if it is indeed happening.
Don mentioned it a few times but Glenn seemed rather evasive about it. If anyone, I would think it would be Bernie Leadon, which would be great for those early hits... (And he seemed to inspire the least amount if ire from Glenn and Don in the documentary when his exit was mentioned. Glenn even sort of laughed about the beer incident!)

Don has said that if it does happen it will be Bernie.
How embarrassed am I that I wrote " Bernie Felder" in my last post? This is what happens when you post at ten minutes to 1AM... . Gotta go correct...
No, it's correct...only all wonky in quoted post...
Yep - I got a giggle when I saw that AEW - I thought it was April Fool's Day again.
Don't have a clue, jcl. I do believe that at least since the F1 tour, they have been making CA one of the last legs of their tours though. But, who knows if that trend will continue???

Putting this here for now, but I should probably start a new thread under Joe's forum for a new album, and discussion of it can take place there. This article is about half and half, new album talk and History of the Eagles Tour talk. What he has to say about the HOTE tour is pretty interesting...
