    I vote Bitter Creek.

I love how the harmonies are arranged to sound like train whistles on Midnight Flyer.

And that's part of what I don't like about it!

I'm with you. Every time they do that part, I cringe slightly. It's clever when you've heard it once. When you've heard it many times....

They didn't even write the song & it's one of the most lightweight in their oeuvre, for me.

I love Twenty-One's exuberance and Midnight Flyer has great harmonies. Bitter Creek has a interesting philosophical intensity to it: "Son, don't wade too deep in bitter creek" is an effective metaphor warning against the dangers of wallowing in acrimony.

On the other hand, Take the Devil is very forgettable. Who here could recite its lyrics without help, I wonder? Not too many, I bet!

    Thus...

I cast my vote for Take the Devil.

Always in our hearts, Never forgotten

It's a bit naive but they were young. I like the lyrics (although no, I couldn't recite them straight out) & love the guitar work.
