^^YUM!! That's one baseball game I would watch.
Love Don's Gilley's shirt too. I wish that place was still around.

haha yeah...they should release footage (that they showed in the doc) of that game they played where Glenn was wearing the shirt that said "party plane" on the back and he's getting out his frustrations because he "hasn't been laid in a while" hehe

and yeah..it would be cool to go to the original Gilley's in Pasadena, TX that was in Urban Cowboy. Though that one closed, they opened one in Dallas. I've never been to Texas at all though...I'd like to visit some day!
There's also a Gilley's in Vegas apparently...though I've never been to that one either, but I'm sure it's hokey.
If I can't have it all, just a taste will do...

I wonder just how long "a while" is LOL.

Really? I didn't know there was more than one. I live near Pasadena TX where the original one was but it burned down when I was a little girl.

I didn't know where else to ask this question (sorry Soda, feel free to move it). What is the deal with the Fastlane fan site? Why so little activity? Why 0 responses to everything? Why did TBS single them out for thanks after he was sick (intestines, not throat)? Did everyone just move over here at some point?

There isn't an appropriate thread for this topic because there's not much to be said on it, so we'll just keep it here.

I can't answer your questions definitively. There are many variables that could cause the differences in our activity levels. I could speculate, but what would be the point?

However, I can tell you that there was no mass exodus from Eagleland to The Border. Most Borderers who joined after the first year have never posted on their forum. Our slow but steady growth over the past 7+ years happened independently of the changes in their activity level.

As for your other question, I can't speak for Tim, but considering how sweet he is, I'm not surprised he made it a point to express his appreciation. When fans here finally sent their best wishes a little while after that, his representative thanked us, too. Tim and his camp are very gracious.

Awhile back in the "What Eagles song are you into at the moment" thread I said I had a whole new love for "Those Shoes". I had asked if they ever did it live and FP said they did it on the Millenium show (which I now have Selected Works - love it), but wasn't sure if they played it on the "Long Run" tour.

I think I have my answer. This is a pic I scanned out of a Les Paul guitar book and never noticed before that they both are employing talkboxes, which I would have to assume means they are playing "Those Shoes" since no Eagles song uses it other than TS and RMW Felder never did the talkbox too. It looks very "Long Run" era to me.. Great pic.
