There are venues like this that are horrible at seating charts. The one in Indy is another one. I actually sent them an email to tell them how horrible their seating chart is. Sometimes you luck out and can find a concert that has had tickets on sale for a while and get the seat selection chart on TM, but that's not true of Scottrade.
In general, the rule is that seat number 1 is closest to the lower numbered section. So if you have floor sections 1, 2, and 3 with 1 being on 'Timothy's side' (our left), seat #1 in section 1 would be on the far end and seat #1 in section 2 would be on the left side of the section, and #1 in section 3 would be on the center aisle. So, seat #1 in section 1 wouldn't be the best choice, but seat #1 in section 3 would be an excellent choice. Same for the side, seat #1 in section 104 would be closest to section 103, etc.
That isn't true of all venues, but generally those that use a different configuration indicate on a seating chart somewhere where seat number one is.
One thing we should all do, call the venues and ask where specific seats are since they aren't on a seating chart. They field enough of these calls they might fix it.
