That is totally something us Borderers would do (and then regret it during the entire walk!) Reminds me of the time I joined a lunchtime volleyball club because I fancied the instructor... I had NO interest in volleyball at all, and was horrendous at it. Looking flustered, sweaty and out of your depth is not the way to impress someone you like. The worst part was, I dragged my eternally loyal best friend along, and she was even worse at volleyball than me. Every ball she hit went sailing behind her, over her head!
Oh, the memories...
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
HaHa, this is something I can relate to, even if not in volleyball. I was seriously addicted to volleyball for a long time. There's really no other way to word it. I played four nights a week minimum and tournaments on weekends. My knees decided I had to quit. My orthopedic surgeon, without me telling him why my knees hurt took one look at the x-rays and said, "You play volleyball, don't you?" Sometimes I dream at night about playing again... I could have given you pointers, Troub, and you wouldn't have been so out of your depth! Well, if you didn't live so far away...
I'm glad Glenn is doing this. RA isn't the worst thing to be diagnosed with, but it's still far worse than OA (which is why I had to quit playing volleyball) and a lot of other things. Too many people overlook it altogether or don't consider it to be something that needs to be cured. They've made great strides in managing it, but the meds have side-effects, and quite a few insurance companies won't pay for the meds anyway.

Apparently Glenn is getting an award! Below is a quote from "The Flutterbies" site:http://theflutterbies.com/tag/los-an...tis-walk-2012/
