Yes, in these large venues the stage is on a platform about 5 or 6 feet off the ground, so my seats were actually level with the stage...

They were like PERFECT. I was able to see sitting & standing up.

TM Is getting much harder to predict, though. They're making a lot of changes.
The first 20 rows are the VIP seats which go from like $400- $1,000. AMEX presale is not going to get anything from there.
I haven't had any luck with the Amex pre-sale because I found that after the pre-sale there were better seats available in the same price range. I think it's all a matter of luck....a real hit & miss. You can keep trying for seats everyday & crummy seats come up, then one day some really good seats will come up. It's a crap shoot out there!

VIP doesn't use all the seats in rows 1 through 20. It varies by venue, but I've seen anywhere between thirty and 150 at the VIP dinners, which is rows 1 - 10. The venue with 150 had about 50 to 55 seats in the first three rows and 45 thereafter. I've also seen seats in the first 20 rows up for resale and VIP can't be resold.

VA, I have seen rows 10-20 in the VIp, "Fan Package" deal, which doesn't include the dinner, but the resale seats may be on the sides, not the middle, which I think are the Fan Package $400 seats!!!

I also ended up with a front row seat for AC show & didn't buy a VIP ticket. The people next to me paid the $995 & I paid $280. It was on the side a little, but it was Timothy's side so it was all good for me! That ticket was purchased 2 days before the show, because I wasn't even going to go, but when that seat came up. I had to go!! You never know what seats are going to come up, even at the last minute. that was my lucky day!

Better than winning in the casino! They were great concerts that weekend, that's for sure.

I'm super glad the $995 price for front row was a temporary lapse into insanity for VIP, and they are back to the more reasonable $895. Cough.

I'm pretty disappointed with my seats for St. Louis but after trying constantly and finally waiting till I got to the United Center for tickets a couple months ago for Fleetwood Mac, I just couldn't take doing that again. I wanted to go for sure and would have been heartbroken to have missed out on a ticket. But I just can't pay the high prices on the scalper sites.

I'm amazed at some of the good seats people have gotten in the general sale. How did you do it? Fp, you came up with good seats every night you went recently.

That was Glenn, not the Eagles, and I did pre-sale, not general sale. As it happened I thought the Melbourne seat could have been better as could the first Opera House seat.

However, back when I last saw the Eagles in 2010, I had front row for three out of the four nights & I'm still not sure how I managed that. Again I think I did pre-sale.

Out of curiosity I even checked in the presale and never came up with anything closer than what I ended up with. What did I do wrong?

Well, according to HH, you have to get in and out within the first minute in opens!

No kidding, I was on the minute ticket sales opened for Dallas and TM gave me a 9 min waiting period. Ended up not being the full 9 min thank goodness. Totally disappointed in the tickets that I was able to get
