I enjoy gardening in the summer. Here's some of the flowers on our deck. These begonias are beginning to kind of "take over"!

And "Dr. No", down in the left corner, is ever present if anyone comes outside! He always wants to know what's going on!

What a beautiful photo Brooke! It's midwinter down here and it's just cold.

Brooke, thats gorgeous, so summery. And we're not getting much of a summer here at all this year. Lotsa rain and then more rain. It's like a particularly nice (but late and short) spring fast forwarded to Autumn. So pics like this are particularly nice.

    Thanks guys!

I intended (getting forgetful in my golden years!) to also put in my post that it would be nice to "see" what everyone's been up to, like gardening, vacationing, fun stuff, or just everyday life! Take a picture and show us!

That's a lovely picture, Brooke, and a great topic to start. Like GA, we've had almost nothing but rain. There was a brief day of respite yesterday, but today, July 15th, is St Swithin's day, when if it rains today we can expect 40 days of rain to follow, and guess what?

    Here's our patio.

and here's our new woodburner. Who'd have thought we'd be using it now?

Gef, your patio looks lovely and the woodburner very inviting! Looks like your kitty is enjoying it, too!

My hubby and I spend so much time out on our deck that I've been thinking about getting one of those chiminea thingys so we can be out there in cooler weather, too.

Great pictures, Brooke and GEF. Your tortiseshell kitty is beautiful--she looks just like my kitty, Muffin.

While I drool over your beautiful back gardens, patios and woodburners, please spare a thought for me. We are getting our kitchen extended at the moment. This is how the back garden looks this summer!

I can't even get out to it - the pic was taken from my son's bedroom window. And I've forgotten what a washing line is
