    Default Route 66

I will be doing Route 66 with my family between August 1st and 16th when we end up in LA. While I have planned the itinerary in terms of where we will be stopping each night and have booked the hotels, if anyone lives anywhere along the route or have done it before it would be great to hear huge experiences or perhaps you can share some ideas that are off the beaten track and not in the 'tourist' lists it would be great thanks

How fab GA! Gee, I wonder what music will be blasting from your car radio???? Didn't Glenn say people did things to Eagles music? Driving along route 66 sounds like the ideal 'thing' to me.
...Well it sure makes you wonder the things that some people will say. They can see black and white but they don't seem to notice the grey...

Are you going to do Winslow, AZ? I think its on that route.

Too bad I'm farther south of Missouri.

Winslow, AZ is off of Route 66. I went there and it's so cool. I highly recommend going. There's a big Route 66 sign on the road, a statue, a mural, and a flatbed Ford. There's also Eagles gift shops around it.
People talking about us they got nothing else to do. When it all comes down we will still come through in the long run.

Oh yes! Winslow is definitely on the itinerary. That's a given. As is the fact that I will be doing several playlists all if which will include Eagles and solo Eagle songs. I booked the start of it and the flights on 12 January. My Winslow stop will be a bit different to what I had initially planned

Has anyone any experience of Grand Canyon helicopter trips and if so can you recommend any?

GA- I was in Maui last year and Maverick Helicopter tours were highly recommended there. I believe they also do Grand Canyon flights.

Have a great trip! I'm doing a 2 week Southwest road trip in October, so I look forward to hearing about where you are going. Sounds like we will be covering some of the same ground.
