Austin, glad you had a great Ausfest once again, despite the setbacks

s-c, congrats on staying off the cigs and also on the money saved. More cash towards Eagles tickets.

EL, my condolences on the loss of Smokey. Hopefully you will find peace in the fact that you gave her a good life and that she is out of pain and at peace.

And HB! Belated congrats on 1,000 posts. It's great having you on board.

I'm very busy at the moment with work, my photography course and my family. Also our internet was down all weekend at home. But even if I don't get to post I do manage to check in most days to see how everyone is.

EL, so sorry to hear about Smokey.

Catching up here, so best to everyone.

Enjoying my new life. Had a lovely day with a conservation team today, hacking back unwanted shrubs and making new friends. Also started art classes.

My work environment has been so hectic. I work at a small branch of a bank. As early as the beginning of this summer there were 9 of us. Then all hell broke loose.

In June, my branch manager was let go. We have no idea why. In the meantime, the assistant branch manager had set up a leave of absence to have some surgery done. She has been gone since July 5, and just returned this week. While we were without management our only customer service rep retired after 27+ years.

I'm a teller, and it was difficult with no management for several months. During this time we have lost 2 full time tellers.

We do have a new manager, but it's going to take some time and training for him to be able to do the job fully. For now, they are not replacing the CSR who retired, and they are replacing the full time tellers who left with part timers.

Every day is hectic because we are short-staffed. My every-other-Saturday-off has become more like every 5th Saturday off. And they still want us to make our sales goals, too.

For weeks I've been telling myself that this is just temporary until we get fully staffed again, but now I'm staring to wonder.
