VA-good on you for getting through a tough situation, I'd be SO anxious
Yes, a general and the UnderSecretary of the Army and the Presidential Appointee to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. I never know what's coming next.
So...my company finally talked to me this morning about what's happening after the end of the contract. They have a job for me, and it's at a much lower pay rate. I'd been thinking that a person needs to do what a person needs to do, but I also believe in 'what comes around goes around' and 'two wrongs don't make a right'. So I hesitated over accepting it because I knew I'd leave the moment I found a better and higher paying job, and I didn't want to be like that. When they pressed me and I expressed that as a concern...get this....they were fine with it!!!!!! Can you believe?? They just want me on board to transition some knowledge to others, and I can stay for a year or leave when I find something better. I have to say, I'm in complete shock. Complete shock. Companies just don't do this and especially not this one. It is lower pay, but you know? It's far more than unemployment, plus I still have health insurance. I can take my time and get the right job and not the first job. I won't have the stress of this job, or the expectations, so I'll actually have time off to interview. Definitely an answer to a lot of prayers...

It sounds great, VA - so glad things are looking up!
I've been a busy bee lately - out of town the past two weekends and running around in between - but I've been catching up and my prayers and sympathies are with those who are struggling.
I'm so happy to hear this FANTASTIC piece of news VA! Truly an answer to your prayers!
VA, that's awesome! Good luck!
Soda, we've been missing you around here! Welcome back!
