The Sidney Crosby Penguins jersey I ordered arrived today, and I got notification that the Pirates jersey I ordered WEEKS ago was finally shipped. Just in time for the end of the Pirates season after their horrid loss last night.

I needed the Pens jersey in a hurry because we have a conference next week for all of our contract installation managers across the world. Lucky me, the conference is here in Louisville. It is lucky, really because anywhere else would interfere with my Vegas trip. The 'icebreaker' social is Monday night, and we are to all wear the jersey of our favorite team. I don't have a favorite team, so I'm wearing black jeans, the Pens jersey, a Pirates ballcap, and Steeler socks, ponytail holder, and scarf. A coworker is wearing Steeler shoes and pants, so I'm not alone in my fanaticism!

The downside is that I need to be at this conference every day and they are all 8 hour days plus evening meetings. Not to mention the hour drive each way. By the time I leave for Vegas next Friday I'll be exhausted!!

I'm finishing up my vacation time for the year with a goof off day at home today. I'll be trying as much as possible for decent tickets for Bob Seger in St. Louis, but I need to go grocery shopping as well. Our daughter is coming home for a visit tomorrow. She works a lot and doesn't get here much. And hubby and I plan to go to a flea market up north in the boondocks in the morning. I really want to stay home and try to get BS tickets when the general sale opens, but....(maybe I will get good ones today!)

Tomorrow evening it will be all out Red October here at the Spratt house as we will all (son and family will be here too) be watching our St. Louis Cardinals in the playoffs!

I returned from the funeral in England to hear that we will have a maths inspection in the school the last two days before the mid term break. As I have about 2/3 of my timetable teaching maths it's gonna be more than a little stressful over the next 3 weeks!
