So today I had to go to a conference up in Louisville, and it was a much bigger deal than I'd known. There were people there from all the armed services, not just Army. There were people from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, a good many staff members of several Congressmen, and several staff members from a few Senators. My voice is still crap!! I had to do three break out sessions and for the most part, had to have people repeat everything I said because no one could hear me! This was so frustrating!

Finally getting to look at the Border again - my mom had a fall on Wednesday night and after spending 9 hours in A&E (ER), we discovered she had broken a bone in her pelvis so she was admitted to hospital. Recovery time is about 6 weeks bed rest so hopefully she will be discharged after a week as it is an hours round trip every day to visit her !!

Am looking forward to the F1 survivor - just need time to watch the DVD again

She's in the Midlands Regional hospital in Tullamore. Hopefully she will be out soon. ..she's missing all her favorite soaps

Sorry to hear about your mum, Lacken. I know all about the A&E and I wouldn't wish it on anyone - been there far too often lately but things are looking up. Had three of my glands removed and discovered my neck muscles are very weak and strained. I'm undergoing intensive physio so I'm hoping to get back on track soon.

Lacken, I'm also sorry to hear about your mother. Poor thing! I hope she heals and recovers quickly.

Not much happening in my neck of the woods. I hosted Easter dinner (lunch) for my side of the family yesterday. There were only 10 of us and no kids at all and it was a nice day. Some of our kids went to the other sides this year, so I missed my little grandson and can't wait to see him this week.
