HB, sounds like you all had a blast! Someday I'm going to do the LA tour too!
Holiday for me today, just hanging out here at home. Today is hubby's 58th birthday. We celebrated with one of his brothers and his family yesterday who also had a birthday on Saturday, so it was fun!
Baby watch still on. I was soooooo hoping it would come today for Grampa's birthday, but it's not looking like it! If only we would have thought about it last week when they scheduled the inducing. They think the baby is over 9 pounds and mom is not a very big girl, so it's going to be interesting starting tomorrow.....

Brooke - I definitely recommend the LA Eagles tour! I would do it over again in a heartbeat!
I will keep everyone in my prayers for tomorrow. You will have 1 more birthday to celebrate next year Grammie!!
T&H - it was a blast! Definitely recommended & I know you would have so much fun!
yeah I definitely plan to do that Eagles' "tour" one day I've been to LA numerous times, but didn't get to all those places.
Although I will have fun no matter what, it would definitely be more fun to do it with people who get it and would be enjoying it for all the same reasons I would haha
If I can't have it all, just a taste will do...
Wow - LOTS to catch up on! I've had so much going on and I don't remember where I left off in here! For now I'll just say I hope everyone is doing well and sending good thoughts to those who need them.
------
I'm doing ok, although last Friday I spent most of my evening in the ER with severe stomach pains and vomiting - FUN! A CT scan and bloodwork later - find out it's the new Norovirus strain that is pretty brutal. The ER doc said stomach flu doesn't normally cause severe pain like that, so that's why he did the CT to make sure it wasn't something else - that's what showed the gastroenteritis and he researched it and found out it was a new bad strain that is going around the country. Also he said my mono is active again and need to make sure in a couple weeks it goes down or it could be a chronic Epstein Barr virus problem and may need to see a specialist.
They gave me Zofran (nausea med) and Fentanyl (narcotic pain med) and sent me home where I proceeded to sleep for several hours. I'm on Phenergan as needed when it gets to bothering me but it's MUCH better now.
When it rains it pours! My health has been really bad since I got mono - it really affected my immune system. That's why I seem to be getting so many bugs and so down and out (energy wise).
Right back at ya, Deb! You are a total sweetheart and even though I'd visited those places before, doing so with you was like seeing them with fresh eyes all over again. Plus, what can I say, I will never tire of doing Eagles tours! lol I only wish we'd had more time to see even more.
I know that we have more fun times in our future. I'll be seeing you the next time I'm in Houston, at the very least! Maybe once the Eagles take a break we can see some Mac together!
And if any other Borderers wind up in LA at the same time as I do - well, I'd gladly do it all over again!
oh no...wishing you a speedy recovery, Austin!
I had something like that last year...though maybe not the Norovirus... they never really diagnosed it..I had thought it was food poisoning and they went with that....but I was full on sick for almost a week and then felt weak and still kinda sick (though not as severely) for nearly a month.
and as HB said to me (cos my back has been out)
If I can't have it all, just a taste will do...
Austin, sorry to hear you've been feeling bad and hope you're all better soon!
T & H, always loved that GB song!
I'm officially a Grammy! Cutter Brent was born this morning at 5:20! They went in yesterday morning at 6 and after being induced in the afternoon her contractions went very slow. After staying at 7 cm for over 2 hours the dr finally said she would do a c section. Things just weren't progressing. But everything turned out ok. There was never an emergency. Our baby boy weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and is 21 inches long and has a tiny bit of light brown hair! And, it was a very long night of waiting! We got home about 9 and went straight to bed. I stayed there for about 3 hours but didn't ever go to sleep. I just don't sleep unless it's night time. I did try! I will post a pic soon. If you are a friend on fb, our son has posted a couple already! And, he's gorgeous!
