We are having a chili cook off at work this coming Friday. Our team is going to use Don Henley's Texas Chili recipe from the "Rock 'n' Roll Cuisine" cookbook. We need to come up with a catchy name for the chili besides Don Henley's. Any suggestions?

LOL Soda - I like that name - as painful as it sounds. I like spicy food. In fact tomorrow night I'm having hot wings for dinner. I like BBQ too, but spicy stuff has long been a favorite of mine. I like to be able to taste the food though, not just the heat.

I think I have always taken things in stride but its hitting me now with my last loss in Jan ( which was sudden and profound) that I have lost 6 people in less than two years...all were family members who raised me with the one gf who had cancer and told none of us "cause she didn't want to worry us" .
The person I lost in Jan was my greatest champion more than my own Mom. She was with me when my son was born .She raised him for 4 months while Iwas in the hospital for 62days.
I am greatful she isn't suffering but none the less I am still dealing with the domino effect of things I guess.
Thanks for letting me vent a little.
no snow day for me ..just a delay but I don't want to drive in this so am wainting for my ride.
