Right now I am reading Wicked The Life & Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Don't feel bad Lacken, Linden is a 1,500+ mile 1 way trip for me. What kills me is both of my sons are going to Texas next month & I can't go on either trip. I will just have to settle for Philly in November.

Just readin the new stuff on the Border.
I just got back from the ER with my hubby. He was picking up a 2x6x10 piece of fur wood and it slipped embedding a 3 inch long piece of wood in his hand. OUCH. They put lidocaine in the hand and had to cut it open to remove the sliver. That was about 2 hours ago and now the hand is waking up. I hope he doesn't have a long night of pain.

Oh, DJ, so sorry that happened. I hope the night went better than you feared it would and Hubby's hand feels better soon.

Ouch DJ! Hope your husband is doing better today.

I'm waiting on my mom to get her lunch. We're doing our weekly visit with my dad's mom(nana). She'll turn 95 on Thursday.

Sending healing vibes to your hubby. My son had a sliver of wood get embedded underneath his fingernail a few months ago. He was in pain after the lidocaine wore off.

Watching the Indy car race on delay right now. I know who won but I can't tell my son.

I have no clue who anyone from 1 Direction are, not my kind of music but seems they do appreciate some of the greats in the industry.

Cardiologist appointment tomorrow, dreading the 1.5 hour drive down.

I'm catching up on the board during my much-needed day off. The last month has been exhausting. I've worked without a break for the last consecutive 18 days and I'm so looking forward to this 4-day weekend.

This week we closed the sale of my Mom and Dad's home, which was very emotional. Then, I made an appointment to get the oil changed in my car and the car dealership contacted me about trading my car for a new one. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse, so as of last night, I have a brand new car. After I finish posting here, I'm going to fix me some lunch, and then go out and put all of my 'stuff' in my new wheels.

Good for you, dreamer! I always love to get a new car! Love that smell!

And take it easy for your long weekend! Sounds like you deserve it!

Congrats on the new car Dreamer, and enjoy your break!

I'm eating supper(sub sandwich) at my favorite restaurant. It's a local mom and pop bar/grill called Oscar's Place. It's the only place around to hang out, enjoy good food and company(almost everyone knows each other), and enjoy a beer or 2 (if you're legal). Nice family friendly atmosphere that's perfect for the farming communities around
