The next three videos on my list are The Heat Is On, Part of Me, Part of You, and Route 66, but in no particular order. My feelings about all of them are pretty even, so depending on how this round plays out, I could be persuaded (or maybe even bribed ).

OK. Here's why THIO should go next.

Route 66 has a very charming retro vibe. I know some find it cheesy, but it's appropriate to the song. Most importantly, it truly is a GLENN FREY video and not the occasional shot of Glenn amongst movie clips.

While it's true both POMPOY and THIO have movie clips, POMPOY is far superior to THIO.

POMPOY may be dominated by movie clips, but the Glenn parts are absolutely beautiful. The song lyrics in lovely script projected onto the walls, reflected in the widows, even casting shadows on his face... the lyrics are everywhere... as a person who loves books, I really appreciate that emphasis on the poetry of song. The pages are even hung up on a clothesline while the ink dries... such a lovely touch. Glenn in this video is a writer, a wordsmith, and I love it. Plus, oh my gosh, he looks incredible. Denim and leather and approaching HFO hair... He looks MUCH finer here than he does in THIO video, IMHO, and he's in full color! I mean, let's compare, shall we?

THIO: Not bad, but he looks a little hungover, and I was never a big fan of beige slacks:




POMPOY: The jeans. The hair. The mouth. The expressive eyes. The gorgeousness:






Let's be real. THIO is riding COMPLETELY on the strength of the song and the movie. This is a video survivor. Let's cut it loose.

Ok, Soda, you've talked me in to it! You're absolutely right and I'm going on Glenn's looks in these videos! Sorry to be so shallow, but that's the way it is! There's way too little of him in THIO and what little there is, he just doesn't look that great. He looks a lot better in LR!

So, I vote for The Heat Is On. We need more Glenn in the video!
